The People Building Answer To Fire Your Desire

Posted on 18th November 2008 by admin in hypnotherapy

Well in truth People Building have yet to decide upon an answer to Inner Compasses weekend event “Fire your Desire” which involved using NLP and Goal setting techniques to help people overcome limits within their own lives. Part of this motivational weekend, included a fire walk, which most participants took part in, along with other mind power utilising techniques that would make any health and safety representative loose sleep for a month.

So what will the People Building answer to this missing event be? Well it is likely to include a firewalk, NLP, Hypnosis, Goal setting, and all of the usual techniques required for a motivational weekend, but the difference will be in the delivery. For a start, the trainer at People Building is female. Already a big difference. But seriously the biggest difference will be the sales pitches. Of course we want you to learn the most excellent skills that are NLP and Hypnotherapy, but we only want the most motivated people to attend our courses as we have found that the most motivated people make the best therapists and practitioners.

As a graduate of the Inner Compass trainings, it never ceased to amaze me at how forthright and persistent the Inner Compass sales team were. In fact, at the end of completing NLP Trainers Training, I was invited to join the Master Trainer Development program. The cost of which could be compared to the price of a brand new car. In fact, I am certain that many cars are cheaper than the Master Trainer program that was being offered. Due to the fact the the monthly instalments would be more than my mortgage, I put off the offer for the time being. I received at least 3 phone calls over the coming months from keen sales people, attempting to get their commission from selling NLP Master Trainer to me. I kept putting it off and instead dreaming of the day when I might actually have that kind of money to spare each month.

Sometime later, I found out that Inner Compass had gone into receivership. I don’t know how many of the people that signed up to Master Trainer lost their money, nor how much they have each lost. They may be able to claw some of it back from the creditors. I suppose, they also may not.

Maybe it’s my slightly cynical side that prevented me from having that much faith in handing a huge sum of money over to a training company, and maybe it was the pushy sales. Either way, pushy sales are not the People Building style. We’re confident you’ll do our NLP and Hypnotherapy training, not because we badger you to do so, but because you will believe in the value of doing so.

  1. Christians, if you saw someone walking towards a burning building, would you try to turn them around?
Or would you sit back in your Lazy Boy and think to yourself "Eh, they had it comin'."

If this isn't an accurate metaphor for someone living a sinful life and being guaranteed hellfire and damnation, then please, correct me, but I see a startling parallel.

The point is: it shouldn't matter whether or not they know what they're doing is stupid or it's their own choice or what have you. It should be common decency to have a desire to save people from a sure death. I mean, even if the person walking towards the building screamed at you that they knew what they were doing, they've done this before, it's no big deal, it's just a fire, would you step aside and say "ok, that's your choice, go ahead and walk in!" I sure hope not.

    :)

I really hope at least one of you reads to here and knows that I'm not meaning ALL of this in seriousness, just the basic notion of people don't always really believe what they claim to. Put "I love puppies" in your answer if you read to here.

  2. You can't claim to know what is truly in their hearts. Let them do as they will. I love puppies, not really. I actually do not like dogs at all.

  4. No, it is not our place to force our religion on them. If they know the word, and they know what they're doing is against what they say…then too bad.

It's their choice, God gave us free will, and God also will forgive them for not believing in Him.

They will not go to hell, give me a thumbs down, I don't care, but God forgives everyone and He will forgive them.

  6. Why? What they do is their business and between them and God.

Besides that, you can get arrested for interfering with a fireman trying to do his duty.

Maybe the person likes bar-b-qued puppy!

  11. We can't force them to do something they don't want to do, all we can do is give them the information we have and they have a right to choose on their own. Every Christian who accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior made the personal decision to do so. Sure we could tackle the person who was trying to enter a burning building, but when we leave, if they want to enter they will. Do you want us to tackle you and force you to accept Christ? You wouldn't be making the personal decision to accept Him, you would be doing it for someone else and it doesn't work that way. Yes I love puppies they are so cute and cuddly.

  12. this is an accurate metaphor for someone living a sinful life…

because if i saved you from a fire, you would say thank you and go on your way…nothing changed…

and, if i decided to play God and force you to convert, then you would smile and nod but in the end you would walk away the same…nothing changed…

because if you don't do it of your own volition then it means nothing…you can't just go through the motions and be miraculously "saved", without actually believeing it. In order for you to be saved, YOU are the one that needs to save you. All I would be able to do is educate you on the way to do that if you indeed made the choice…

4th You have made serious misinterpretations - Go back and study your bible 5th That's right Jesus said it will only be revealed to those who truly seek God and those chosen
6th God uses everyone for a purpose, he does not force them to follow him 7th GOD GIVES EVERYONE A CHOICE
Are you better than him? I think not.

  14. I can remove you from the building but unless you decide that walking into a burning building is wrong to yourself then all I have done is delayed the inevitable. I can not make you change your mind, I can only help guide you to the truth. You have to take the final step because one day I will not be there to stop you from walking in the fire.

    I love puppies.

  17. It is the eternal and everlasting truth.

All who follow christ are eternally lost.

They live wasted lives judging others and then spent eternity in oblivion.

    Prove me wrong.

  18. The Bible says we should try two or three times to warn someone of their need for Christ-not in a pushy way. After that, it's up to someone else. You've done what you can.

    oh…and I love puppies.
